Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba - UBC, located at 5728 University Blvd in Vancouver, stands out as a charming Japanese restaurant that specializes in delectable ramen and mazesoba. Diners have praised the friendly and hardworking staff, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. The ramen is described as rich and comforting, while the mazesoba delights with unique flavors and high-quality ingredients.
Jason Foo noted the enjoyable taste, though he pointed out that the pork could be less fatty for those who prefer a lighter profile. Many patrons suggest ordering an oversized portion for satisfaction, especially catering to the hungry student crowd. Katrin HP highlighted the well-organized menu, making it easy to navigate through tempting options, while Miyuki Food particularly enjoyed the mentaiko cream mazesoba, enhanced by a kick of chili powder.
The restaurant also garners attention for its pan-fried dumplings, which Mona declares are “FIREEEE.” Overall, Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba - UBC offers a delightful dining experience with something for everyone, promising to keep customers returning for more. With a welcoming ambiance and a diverse menu, it’s a must-visit for both ramen connoisseurs and newcomers alike.

Friendly and hardworking staff. Both the ramen and the mazesoba were good. The pork was slightly less fatty and harder than the usual ramen, but otherwise nice flavours. Servings are also a little small, up sized it and realised it looked more like normal serving. Probably better to serve more to cater to the student population.

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The ramen was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and comforting. I also tried the masoba, which was excellent, though my husband found the taste of nori a bit overpowering for his liking. The menu is well-organized and easy to navigate, with helpful pictures for each dish. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Noodles were tasty! I got the mentaiko cream mazesoba and it was very tasty! The chilli powder was super good!! You can get any size for same price but it's the same amount of noodles and toppings (it's just more soup). The waiter was quite nice and brought rice at the end to finish the cream sauce. My friend says the original ramen was average.

I love Kokoro. I don’t even know how many times I even came here, maybe more than 30 times now? Never disappoints. The only thing is I can’t get ramen delivered because the portions are way too small. Other than that, owner is very nice, I don’t know about the other servers. I recommend this place! Oh but matcha was a little disappointing

The pan fried dumplings are FIREEEE!!! They handled our group of 8 without a problem. They let me swap the pork for tofu in my ramen. So the staff rocks and so does the food. Don’t sleep on em.

The restaurant was hard to find at first but we eventually found it... when you go up the stairs, turn right and keep going till the end and it’s there. We got seated right away, food was ordered on the tablet and service was good. It came out really fast and the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Probably the best mazeoba I ever had! The portion was great for the price (can upgrade to a larger bowl for free!!!). I also ordered the takoyaki and it was so crispy, cooked perfectly, just the way I like it!!! Worth giving a try and highly recommend the takoyaki!

Surprisingly the best gyoza I've had in Vancouver. Compares really well to gyoza in Japan, really appreciate the corn starch slurry layer. Could be a bit more juicy, but overall very good for the price in Vancouver. Great mentaiko mazesoba, really good chashu. Good service in general, nothing crazy. Milk tea was a bit sweet
